The Robertsbridge Aviation Society will hold its annual open day on Sunday, 27 July from 11am to 4pm.
The museum has thousands of items including 40 aero engines, cockpit sections including those from Meteor, Lightning and Canberra aircraft, propellers, a huge number of model planes of all sizes as well as gun turrets, including one from a World War Two Lancaster bomber.
You can see aircraft parts dug up from local crash sites – including a Spitfire that crashed near Bodiam

and a Hurricane that came down near Newenden – and those dragged to the surface by fishermen’s

nets off Hastings.
You can find the museum on Silver Hill (A21) on the left as you head towards Hurst Green – watch out

for the signs. Car parking and admission is free.
